How this site works
Methodology
Sourcing, verification, versioning and review, stated plainly.
Every page on this site is built from three kinds of material, and each is labelled.
Official text is reproduced verbatim from snapshots of official sources. Each snapshot records its canonical URL, capture time and SHA-256 checksum; the checksum is re-verified on every load, and if verification fails the text is withheld and replaced with a link to the official source until re-verified. Only the Official Journal of the European Union is authentic.
Explanation is InsideCRA prose. Any sentence that carries legal meaning cites an entry from the versioned facts table maintained on CEMarque, which is read against the Official Journal by a named human before a version is released. A build-time lint refuses to publish a sentence carrying a legal date, amount or duty without such support. The current facts version and its verification record appear on the status page.
Guidance from the Commission or ENISA explains the law without changing it, and every guidance excerpt on this site is labelled as guidance and mapped to the provision it interprets.
Corrections and review
Every page names its review state. Nothing goes public without a named reviewer recorded on the page: the editor, or Claude, an AI reviewer working under the editor's delegation, which checks every sentence against the cited facts and the captured official text. The editor can overrule or withdraw any page, and corrections ship as dated updates that say what changed and what did not. If you find an error, write to hello@insidecra.com — corrections are a feature of this site, not an embarrassment.
